FINALLY! The time has come where I don’t have to look over my shoulder before every sip of beer, being able to go out with the rest of my friends when they want to go to a brewery; I am TWENTY-FUN PEOPLE. And let me tell you, this birthday was one for the books.
I didn’t get blacked out, or even that drunk surprisingly (I mean it was a Sunday), but it was such a fun, eventful day!
Started off at a local Mexican restaurant in downtown Golden with Kolin then headed to the infamous Coors Brewery since you get 3 free drinks every time you stop in. After that we headed to Denver to meet up with a few of our friends planning to hit up some bars, but ended up havin a blast at the lake with great company and some wine. It was weird at first not celebrating with family or friends from back home, but our friends here and their family made us feel welcome. It amazes me every day how comfortable & close you feel with people you met just a couple months ago.
Just when I thought my birthday festivities were over and it’s back to reality, my awesome, amazing, perfect, loving, caring boyfriend surprised me with a meet & greet with my favorite animal of ALL TIME. A 2-toed sloth! We headed to Denver and we got to get up close & personal; petting, feeding, and watching this odd, lovable animal climb around. I am seriously OBSESSED with sloths, Kolin gave me a sloth necklace a couple years ago and I’ve probably watched every single video on the internet there is to find on sloths. So it’s safe to say my boyfriend did an awesome job with this gift.
This week has been crazy to say the least, with the random trip to the Grand Canyon, to my 21st birthday, and being able to meet my favorite animal. I am constantly reminded how amazing life is and the people that surround me. I’ve posted a lot on facebook lately, but here are some pics from the past few days, including some extra Grand Canyon pics I found.
until next time,
