It’s been a minute since I posted, been a crazy month of job changes, lifestyle changes, and holidays without the family.
Christmas was definitely off, we weren’t able to make it home. Luckily, Kolin has distant family here who took us in like we were their own 🙂 That helped a lot, and at least Kolin & I have each other. We were able to have a ‘virtual’ Christmas of opening presents with our family over Facetime, the best we could do 🙂
My life is kind of a mess right now & you’d think I’d be more worried, but what good does that do?
I’m in between jobs, I had to leave the dispensary (personal decision), so I’m currently with Rover.com & dog sitting for multiple families around Golden. It’s enough to scrape by & rewarding, but I definitely need a better-paying job to be comfortable. Deciding whether to go back to school in the summer or wait til next fall.
You’d think I’d be more worried about being (pretty much) jobless, but with everything going on in the world-looking at life from a different perspective-I’m truly lucky. With my family, my true love, my pets, my home, my health, how can I be upset with life right now? I’m all warm inside. I’m happy. I’m blessed. Things work out, they always do.
If you ever feel down about your current life situation, or you think things are going awful; just take a look at the world news. Even in our own country, there are at least 1 million people that have it worse off than you.
I always like to list the simple things I have.
- A warm home
- A healthy body & mind
- Healthy & loving family
- Peace of mind wherever I go
- Job opportunities
That’s just the beginning!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
Some people are surprised with how detailed I am with broadcasting my life & my troubles with the internet, but I like to assure people all the stresses, anxiety, & worry they keep bottled up in their brain, happens to every single other person on this planet. It’s easy to forget that with social media, we post our best moments. It’s easy to think,
Damn, I need to get my life together.
These people seem so happy, how do I achieve that lifestyle?
Every one has their worries, their demons, their struggles. But who would want to post that on their Facebook? No one, they’re going to post that one vacation they took that year, that one time they went to the gym that week, that one hike they did that month. & that’s the only glimpse we see into their life, so we think that’s their everyday.
Appreciate the life you have! No one is living exactly like you are, and that’s pretty cool.
Nothing is absolute,
all flies & goes.”
until next time,
